ICYMI: TVJ, former "Eat Bulaga" hosts transfer to TV5

The iconic TVJ and other former hosts of “Eat Bulaga” have found their new home in TV5.

TVJ, dabarkads now on Kapatid network

According to Philstar, MediaQuest Group, the operator of TV5, made the announcement in a statement.

It said the so-called dabarkads have signed a deal with the group to "produce content for TV5 and other MediaQuest platforms."

MediaQuest said the deal "opens yet another chapter in the long-running, celebrated entertainment careers of TVJ."

TVJ, along with Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Allan K., Maine Medoza, Ryan Agoncillo, and Ryzza Mae Dizon, announced last week their departure from TAPE Inc., the production company behind the longest-running noontime show.

Our partnership strengthens our ability to continue to deliver the best for Filipino viewers here at home and all over the world. I'm happy that Tito, Vic and Joey will now call TV5 their home, said MediaQuest president and CEO Jane Basas, who also said she is honored that the pillars of the Philippine entertainment industry have agreed to work with us.

Meanwhile, Tito Sotto expressed his gratitude to MediaQuest for "this fresh start."

Dahil sa ating mga Dabarkads na naging Kapatid, tuloy pa rin ang tuwa't saya na aming dala, he said.
