ASUS Zenfone 10 might just be the last of the series, report claims

There's a report circulating that the ASUS Zenfone 10 will be the last of the series.

Is this the end of the Zenfone lineup?

A Taiwanese media has claimed that ASUS will have an organizational restructure wherein the company has cut down the number of staff in the PC department across Taiwan and China. 

It continued that ASUS had issued a letter internally revealing their plans to move many employees to the company's mobile phone divisions (Zenfone and ROG Phone) but were removed instead.

This is reportedly due to ASUS has decision to terminate its Zenfone division and then transfer those staff to another division or the ROG Phone team.

The person familiar with the matter pointed out that ASUS mobile phones are divided into ROG and Zenfone series, but now the latest Zenfone 10 will be the last generation of this series, and the Zenfone team will be merged into other departments in the future, or directly into the ROG team

9to5Google noted that Zenfone hasn't been a particularly big player in the Android market. They also continued the lineup has taken a backseat in the US and has made a small impact in other markets.

Again despite those market share report claims, the last two Zenfones 9 and 10 received high praise for having good battery life, software, and compact size.

As of this moment, ASUS has to speak on the matter.
