Redmi Buds 5 launched: 46db ANC, Bluetooth 5.3, and up to 40 hours battery!

The Redmi Buds 5 appeared in a slim squarish case available in Black, Light Blue, and White colorways. On the other hand, there's a special edition collaboration with clothing Brand AAPE as well. 

The features

The main highlight is the upgraded Active Noise Cancellation of up to 46db which redmi claims is "flagship tier ANC". It also offers 2KHz wide-band and three-level of noise reduction depth, and transparency mode.

The earbuds itself

Inside, is an independent acoustic chamber, featuring a 1.6m precision wound coil and a 12.4mm extra-large high-polymer titanium-plated diaphragm. While Redmi also mentioned Netease Cloud Music hardware certification.

Connectivity-wise, the earbuds use Bluetooth 5.3 and support up to 2 devices.

For battery, it supports 8 hours of music playback with ANC and up to 40 hours if combined with the charging case. It also supports fast charging with 2 hours of juice with 5 minutes of plugging in.

China price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

Redmi Buds 5 AAPE edition - CNY 299 (around PHP 2.3K)

As for the availability, it will be first offered in China while the brand hasn't commented yet about other markets.
