vivo introduces a new smartphone under the Y-series featuring an SD chip, smooth display, and more.
For starters, the device appeared in three colorways White, Black, and Blue. The back cover also revealed that it uses a squarish camera island atop 2 circular bumps.
At the front, it uses a 6.64-inch LCD screen with 2388 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
Inside, it uses the 2.2GHz 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 octa-core chipset with Adreno GPU, 8GB or 12GB RAM, and 128GB or 256GB storage.
For battery, it has a 6,000mAh battery capacity that charges 44W fast charging.
For cameras, the phone uses a 50MP main sensor + 2MP depth helper + LED flash.
Other features are a 3.5mm audio jack, speakers, and a side fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity-wise, it has 5G, 4G, VoLTE, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.
For software, the phone runs Android 13 with OriginOS 3.0
vivo Y78T - starts at CNY 1,499 (around PHP 11.6K)
The phone now sells in China. However, vivo hasn't commented about other market availability.
