HUAWEI surpasses Samsung in Global R&D Ranking!

HUAWEI bested Samsung in terms of Global R&D ranking based on the European Commission's Investment report.

HUAWEI takes the 5th spot in the R&D rankings!

The Chinese tech giant has successfully clinched the 5th spot in the rankings and managed to be head of Volkswagen, American ICT firms, and even Samsung. The renowned South Korean tech firm previously had the top spot but is now sitting at the 7th place.

In particular, Samsung is the only industry in the top ten investment rankings to experience a drop. In 2021, the company was ranked sixth. This position, however, has been taken by Volkswagen of Germany, which has invested EUR 18.98 billion.

On the other hand, Samsung had EUR 18.435 billion this year. Aside from HUAWEI, tech titans like Alphabeth, Meta, Microsoft, and Apple hold the top 5 listings.

Talking about HUAWEI, the brand has surpassed its Research and Development Investment in multiple sectors around the world. Earlier, the Senior Vice President of HUAWEI, Yang Weijun claimed that the firm has greatly boosted its investment when it comes to R&D.

Over the last 10 years, HUAWEI has invested a total of 970 billion CNY despite facing many challenges brought by the US. The firm stated they continuously do this to meet the customer's demands.
