HONOR X6c announced: Drop + water resistant, 5,300mAh battery, AI button, budget pricing

The new HONOR X6c is now official, the company's next-generation durability-focused budget smartphone, now with AI capabilities.

HONOR X6c is smarter and more durable than its predecessor

The new device boasts a drop-resistant body with IP64 dust and water resistance available in Ocean Cyan, Midnight Black, and Moonlight White colorways.

It comes with SGS Premium Performance Certification of Drop & Crush Resistance. HONOR said that it can susrive drops up to 1.5 meters with its Full-Body Protection 360-degree, HONOR Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology, and HONOR horn-shaped supporting structure 2.0.

In front, it uses a slightly larger 6.61-inch 120Hz LCD screen with HD+ resolution and now with a punch-hole (instead of notch) for the 5MP selfie camera. This has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

The AI Button

Inside, it is powered by the 2.0GHz 12nm MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra octa-core processor with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, and a tad bigger 5,300mAh battery coming from the HONOR X6b last year. It retains the USB-C 35W SuperCharge tech.

For cameras, you will find a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter paired with an auxiliary lens. The company said that it can do up to 10x digital zoom.

It now has an AI Button to activate the AI Mobile Assistant for Cleanup, Open apps, Turn on Do Not Disturb, My day, Screenshot, Turn Flashlight on, Calculator, and more.

It now comes with translate to text in real-time with support for over 100 languages as well, a Search Objects identification tool, and Homework Assistance that can help in problem solving and more.
