Nothing Headphone (1) announced: Sound by KEF, Hi-Res audio, up to 80 hours battery

The new Nothing Headphone (1) features the company's signature transparent look while promising a build that is designed to last and IP52 dust and water resistance. It is available in White and Black colorways.

The design of the headphones

Inside, it has a 40mm dynamic driver with a PU diaphragm, 16 ohms impedance, and 20Hz - 40kHz frequency response.

 

According to the company, it has been tuned by iconic British audio brand KEF for precise, natural, and balanced sound. The headphones are also Hi-Res certified, ensuring that they can deliver pretty good audio quality.

For ANC, it promises up to 42dB of real-time adaptive ANC with transparency mode. The device also has a total of 4 ENC microphones for calls.

It connects via Bluetooth 5.3 with SBC, AAC, and LDAC code support. It also has a low lag mode, Google Fast Pair, and Microsoft Swift Pair.

The headphone also has several buttons for controls and for the assistant. These also have on-head detection and could be paired with Android 5.1 and above or iOS 13 and above.

The headphones feature a 1,040mAh battery. With AAC codec, the device has up to 80 hours with ANC off and up to 35 hours with ANC on. With the lossless LDAC codec, users get up to 54 hours with ANC off and up to 30 hours with ANC on.

The company said that 5 minutes of fast charge is equal to up to 5 hours of playback or up to 2.4 hours of ANC playback. 

The device measures 189.25 x 173.85 x 78.0 mm and weighs 329 grams.
