To further test the camera capabilities of the newly announced realme 15 Pro 5G, we recently went to Enchanted Kingdom, the largest theme park in the Philippines.

To recap, the realme 15 Pro 5G is equipped with the 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX896 main camera with OIS, the same sensor found in several high-end smartphones. realme also paired it with a new 50MP f/2.0 115-degree ultra-wide-angle camera, the two-tone AI Magic Glow 2.0 flash, and another 50MP f/2.4 shooter for selfies.

The device also has several new cool photography and AI features, such as Smart scenes (Party Stage, Silhouette, Fireworks), Lighting effects (Starburst Heart), and AI Snap Mode, to name a few.

Moreover, this is one of the few phones capable of recording up to 4K 60fps on all three (3) cameras, making it ideal for creators and beyond.

Unfortunately, the weather that day was a bit gloomy due to the recent typhoon. But we took this opportunity to see if the phone would be able to capture life-like images—and it did.

The colors are accurate, and the details are crisp. Dynamic range and shadows are on point.
Ultra-wide daylight

What I enjoyed a bit more was the quality produced by its ultra-wide camera. Colors and overall quality are close to the primary camera. Distortion is also minimal. Shutter speed is also fast for an ultra-wide camera phone sensor.

Take a look at the image above; it was able to freeze the swan water boats, allowing me to frame my shot according to my liking.

Its ultra-wide sensor is great for capturing scenery, and if you simply want to fit more in one frame.

Speaking of freezing your shot, the AI Snap Mode of the realme 15 Pro works, and it is impressive. It allowed me to take non-blurry images of moving subjects at 1/806s at ISO800.
Ultra-wide to 5x digital zoom
Ultra-wide to 5x digital zoom

Unlike the previous generation, the realme 15 Pro doesn't have a telephoto lens in favor of a better ultra-wide camera. So, super zoom shots won't be that great with this device.

But despite that, it has a decent digital zoom using its primary camera. In my experience, shots up to 5x are social media-ready.

If you are a fan of long exposure shots, the realme 15 Pro 5G also has a different modes like Moving vehicle, Light trails, Rush hour, and Light painting. These modes have adjustable exposure times that are fun to use.

For 2x shots, users will be able to enjoy high-quality images with a natural background blur effect.

With the Portrait mode, it shoots at 2x mode by default, and the edge detection is better than most for the price.

The Portrait mode is also where users can maximize the AI Magic Glow 2.0 flash. It uses two adjustable two-tone LED lights that act like a "studio-like" fill light that users can take advantage of in different situations for improved shots.

The new Stage mode for photos also appears to be really optimized as well. Even if I took the photo above using its 4x digital zoom with visible grain, the low light shot I took has enhanced skin tones, colors, and nice-looking lighting effects.

In low light, no problem. Shots are great on both the primary camera and the ultra-wide camera. realme's camera optimizations helped retaiend the details and colors at night—even if you don't turn on the Night mode always. Grain is minimal and hardly visible. General exposure is consistent on both lenses too.

If the subject it too bright, the Silhouette mode could help in toning town the exposure properly. You may even add some cool lighting effects like the Starburst and Heart.

Handling light exposure is an issue for some mid-range camera phones. Thankfully, realme's solutions on this issue generally works, allowing users to take near flagship-quality night shots with minimal annoying glares.

As mentioned, night shots even using the ultra-wide camera are generally great.

Not to be left behind, the 50MP selfie camera of this handset is as good as the primary cameras of several affordable mid-rangers. Details are legitimately crisp in daylight and even some dim light scenes. And oh, the Portrait mode is some of the best I've seen at this price point.

In the Philippines, the realme 15 Pro 5G with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at PHP 27,999 while hte 12GB RAM with 512GB storage has an SRP of PHP 30,999.

BUT, this 10.10, the price could go as low as PHP 25,279~PHP 26,999 at Shopee for the 12GB/512GB model.
