vivo launches OriginOS 6, will debut globally on October 15

As expected, vivo introduces the OriginOS 6 in China today and is set to go official globally on October 15.

vivo has introduced OriginOS 6, featuring a design the company describes as more spatial and layered. 

The interface incorporates visual elements with a three-dimensional effect, using shadows and translucent properties to create a sense of depth, an approach that bears similarity to the aesthetic of Apple's iOS.

The icons

The operating system includes updated animations, which utilize a new motion effect curve. These refinements are intended to provide what is characterized as a more natural and intuitive interactive experience.

A new set of icons has also been developed for the OS. The design draws inspiration from the texture icons on the vivo X Fold5 and uses light and shadow layering to enhance the spatial appearance.

OriginOS 6 has premiered in China, with a global unveiling scheduled for October 15. The software will debut on the upcoming vivo X300 and iQOO 15 series. This comes after we saw vivo India replace its FuntouchOS page with OriginOS 6 naming last week.

A public beta for OriginOS 6 is set to begin in November. vivo has provided a rollout schedule, indicating that the first devices to receive the update will be the vivo X Fold5, the vivo X200 series, and the iQOO 13 and iQOO Neo10 series.
