We just unboxed the new TECNO MEGAPAD Pro, a new budget tablet with a premium build, a large display, and plenty of AI capabilities.

The TECNO MEGAPAD Pro features a 6.9mm slim metal frame, a 12-inch 2K 90Hz screen with an 86 percent screen-to-body ratio, Wet-hand touch technology, and TÜV Rheinland Eye-care Certification.

Inside, the device is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 octa-core processor with 8GB + 8GB virtual RAM (16GB Dynamic RAM), 256GB expandable via microSD card slot up to 512GB, and a large 10,000mAh battery with a USB-C 33W wired fast charger.

Other specs include a 13MP main camera, 5MP selfie camera, 4x speakers, and Dolby Atmos.

For productivity, TECNO added a dedicated AI key, which enables users to access several AI-powered tools, such as the Ella voice assistant, AI document refinement, and intelligent drawing capabilities. It also offers real-time translation for over 50 languages. 

The tablet also works with TECNO’s OneLeap system for cross-device functionality, allowing it to be used as a secondary screen for compatible PCs and to share files with TECNO smartphones.

For OS, it runs on Android 15 out of the box.

Moreover, it comes with a high-quality and easy-to-connect Bluetooth keyboard case for FREE to complete the PC-like tablet experience.

Quick thoughts

The TECNO MEGAPAD Pro is a solid, large-screen productivity and entertainment device without breaking the bank.

At just PHP 10,999, it even arrived in a premium build, high-resolution, smooth display, fast enough responsiveness, long battery life, great speakers, and a FREE Bluetooth keyboard case.

So far, I am enjoying it for entertainment on the go. But based on what I experienced so far, it could also be great for research, documentation, and planning due to its split-screen multitasking and generally reliable AI capabilities.
