Globe: Connectivity is now the "fifth utility"

According to the company, digital access has become essential to everyday life and national development, powering how Filipinos work, learn, access healthcare, transact, receive government services, and stay connected during emergencies.

As reliance on digital services grows, data now contributes 89% of Globe's mobile service revenues.

The telco serves around 67 million mobile subscribers, including 39 million mobile data users, with average monthly usage reaching 16GB per subscriber.

To meet this surging demand, Globe deployed more than 1,500 new 5G sites, added over 115,000 fiber-to-the-home lines, expanded 4G coverage to 96.41% of the population, and allocated about 90% of its 2025 capital expenditures to data infrastructure.

Globe is also building a multi-network ecosystem that integrates mobile, fiber, subsea cables, satellite connectivity, wireless optical technologies, and data centers.

The company explains that this approach ensures resilient connectivity across urban centers, remote communities, and geographically isolated areas
