Xiaomi has released the Smart Camera C701 Pro in the Philippines.

According to the brand, this is a home security camera aimed at users who want to remotely monitor children, elderly family members, or pets, the company announced.

The C701 Pro includes a 9x digital zoom function, marketed as "Ultra-HD Zoom," designed to bring distant subjects or corners of a room into clearer view. The camera also includes a "Zoom Close-up" feature and automatic subject tracking, which follows a moving person or pet within the frame.

The device is designed to maintain image quality in low-light conditions through what Xiaomi calls "ultra-low light color imaging." For nighttime use, it includes infrared night vision that operates without a visible red indicator light.

Detection and privacy features

The camera uses on-device processing to detect people, pets, motion, and specific sounds such as a baby crying, rather than relying on cloud-based analysis. Xiaomi says data transmitted by the device is encrypted.

The C701 Pro supports two-way audio communication through the Xiaomi Home app. It also includes a gesture-recognition function: making an "OK" hand signal toward the camera triggers a call to a paired smartphone.

For privacy, the device has a physical lens cover that can fully block the camera's view. The cover can be operated manually or through the app.

Connectivity

The camera supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth for setup, with device controls, live viewing, and alerts managed through the Xiaomi Home app.
