Brand-new Aspire laptops with AI productivity

Acer has introduced two new mainstream computing lineups aimed at gamers, creators, and general users: the Aspire G 3D 16 laptop and the refreshed Aspire S 27 and Aspire S 24 all-in-one desktops.

To start,  the Aspire G 3D 16 (model AG3D16-81M) is a 16-inch laptop built around naked-eye 3D viewing technology, positioning it for design work, gaming, and general content creation without requiring native 3D content or a discrete graphics card.

The laptop features a metal chassis in a meteorite gray colorway. It also includes a precision touchpad and an RGB-backlit keyboard with red WASD keys, giving it a gaming-oriented design.

Its display is a 16-inch 3D IPS panel with WQXGA+ resolution of 3840 x 2400 (reduced to 1920 x 2400 when running in 3D mode), a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 120 Hz refresh rate, 450 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

The 3D feature relies on dual eye-tracking cameras that convert standard 2D content, such as photos, videos, and games, into 3D visuals, aided by Acer's preloaded SpatialLabs 3D Hub software. In supported games, the added depth is intended to create clearer separation between foreground and background elements.

Inside, the laptop runs on an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor rated at up to 126 overall TOPS, paired with integrated AMD Radeon 8060S graphics. Memory tops out at 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000, with storage options reaching 2 TB on a PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD.

Power comes from a 99.9 Wh battery, charged through a 230 W DC adapter.

For imaging, the system includes a 5MP webcam alongside an IR camera for facial recognition login.

Other features include dual 2 W speakers with digital microphones, an SD 4.0 card reader, a combo audio jack, and an optional fingerprint reader built into the power button.

On connectivity, the Aspire G 3D 16 supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, along with two USB4 Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Type-A Gen 2 port, two USB 3.2 Type-A Gen 1 ports, an HDMI 2.1 output, and an RJ-45 Ethernet port.

Finally, the laptop ships with Windows 11 Home.

Aspire S 27 and Aspire S 24 All-in-One desktops

Acer also refreshed its Aspire S series all-in-one desktops, the 27-inch Aspire S 27 (S27B-WCLLP) and the 23.8-inch Aspire S 24 (S24B-WCLLP), which are marketed toward families and general home use.

Both models retain the minimalist white design of their predecessors, with narrow bezels and a screen that can be tilted between -5 and 20 degrees.

The Aspire S 27 features a 27-inch IPS display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 90% screen-to-body ratio, 250 nits of brightness, and 99% sRGB color coverage.

It is available in either a QHD (2560 x 1440) panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate or an FHD (1920 x 1080) panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate; both versions offer an optional touchscreen with stylus pen support.

The Aspire S 24, on the other hand, uses a 23.8-inch IPS panel with the same FHD, 144 Hz details, matching brightness and color coverage, and identical optional touch and stylus support.

The two desktops are powered by Intel processors ranging up to the Core 7 processor 350, with Core 5 processor 320 and Core 3 processor 304 configurations also available, using integrated Intel graphics. Memory is available up to 16 GB of single-channel LPDDR5, with storage configurable up to 1 TB on a PCIe Gen 4 M.2 2280 SSD.

As desktop units, the Aspire S series draws power through a 65 W AC adapter rather than an internal battery.

Each model includes a 2MP webcam with a privacy shutter and dual stereo microphones.

Additional features include Acer Sense, Acer Intelligence Space, and built-in stereo speakers with DTS Audio support.

For connectivity, both desktops offer Intel Wi-Fi 6E (AX211) and Bluetooth 5.3, along with one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port for data transfer only, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one HDMI 1.4b output, a combo audio jack, and an RJ-45 Ethernet port.

Both the Aspire S 27 and Aspire S 24 run Windows 11 Home.
