Infinix XPAD 30 Pro Review - Entertainment powerhouse tablet for PHP 13K?

We take a deeper look at the new Infinix XPAD 30 Pro and its performance over a week of actual use.

Infinix recently introduced the new XPAD 30 Pro, positioning the tablet as an all-rounder that promises best-in-class performance and a complete entertainment experience.

Infinix says the tablet can handle any task thanks to the combination of the Helio G200 Ultimate processor, 11-inch 2.5K eye-care display, stereo speakers, 8,200mAh battery, and the AI-powered All scenario experience upgrades built in.

Other noteworthy features include microSD card storage expansion, 8MP front and rear cameras, and 18W fast charging.

In the Philippines, the Infinix XPAD 30 Pro starts at PHP 13,999 for the 6GB/128GB model. For a limited time, it will be offered with a promo price of PHP 12,999.

For a limited time, it will be offered at a promo price of PHP 12,999 via official Infinix e-commerce stores. Included in the box are the protective case and a 1-year VIU Premium Subscription. 

Interested customers also have the option to get the XPAD 30 Pro with the X Keyboard 11 bundle for PHP 14,699 only, exclusively from the Infinix TikTok shop.

It arrived in a white box with the render of the tablet, key specs and features, and regulatory information printed around the box.

Inside the box are the XPAD 30 Pro, the folio case, SIM ejector tool, 18W wall adapter, USB-A to USB-C cable, and the documentation.

It does not include earphones or the keyboard.

Customers can get the XPENCIL as a freebie when they purchase through official e-commerce stores.

Build/Design

Infinix took inspiration from an innovative DECO design, which has resulted in what the brand calls 'Geometric Cloud Window,' where technology and art are in harmony.

The tablet is surprisingly slim at 254 x 166 x 6.6mm and weighs 476 grams. It is made of a combination of glass and metal. It is advertised to be both dust- and water-resistant; it wasn't indicated whether it has an IP rating.

It is available in either Titanium Silver, Anthracite Grey, or Twilight Purple.

In front is the 11-inch 2.5K Ultra-clear display wrapped around slim bezels. On the bezel is the front-facing 8MP camera.

On top of the tablet is the first speaker grille, while at the bottom are the second speaker grille and the USB-C port.

Left and right sides

On the left side is a smooth surface, while on the right are the power key, volume rocker, microphone port, and the SIM tray.

The SIM tray can carry a microSD card and a SIM card. It also comes with a red rubber gasket that confirms that it has some form of water and dust resistance.

At the back is the 8MP f/2.0 rear camera with an LED flash.

The stock camera includes modes such as AI CAM, Video, Time-lapse, Beauty, Portrait, Document, and Panorama.

Performance

Inside the XPAD 30 Pro is the 6nm MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate octa-core processor, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB LPDDR4X RAM, and microSD card expansion up to 2TB.

Infinix proudly claims that its software tuning supposedly yields up to 35.6 percent more on AnTuTu than the previous generation.

The unit we reviewed is the 6GB/128GB variant.

All scores are within the expected range for tablets with similar specs. What was impressive was that the AnTuTu scores were 30+ percent higher than those of similarly specced devices, which means Infinix's claims are true.

Generally, the tablet is more than fast enough for casual use, navigating through the UI, and opening and switching between apps, documents, spreadsheets, e-mail, social media, and media consumption.

Running Mobile Legends: Bang Bang with HD selected is smooth. It isn't the fastest, but the frame rates are consistent. We consistently played 1-hour sessions of MLBB, and the tablet remained cool and didn't warm up.

The Battery

Inside the Infinix XPAD 30 Pro is an 8,200mAh battery with 18W fast wired charging via USB-C. 

In our usual 4K YouTube video loop test, it managed to run a 4K YouTube video continuously for 16 hours 31 minutes with 13 percent battery remaining. In our daily usage, we were getting nearly 2 workdays of use. This entails constant connection to WiFi or 4G, and we were constantly on social media, web surfing, occasional video calls, documents, spreadsheets, and other work-related tasks.

When we played 30 minutes of MLBB, we only lost 2 percent of the battery.

It takes 210 minutes, or 3.5 hours, to charge the battery from 0 percent to 100 percent with the included 18W charger.

Overall, we are confident that the tablet will last two days consistently.

Large screen

In front is the 11-inch IGZO TFT screen with a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution, a 550-nit peak brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate. It supports PWM Dimming and has a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. It is Panda Glass protected.

The panel is decently bright, which makes it somewhat readable under direct sunlight. It produces images with vibrant colors, crisp text, and decent contrast.

When used outdoors, it does catch some reflections.

It supports 10-point multi-touch and features symmetrical slim bezels.

Overall, the panel is more than good enough for productivity and media consumption. It doesn't have the fastest refresh rate, but 90Hz is still better than 60Hz.

It features stereo speakers that have a decent maximum volume and a decent level of clarity and power. The soundstage isn't big, and we noticed distortion at 85 percent and above.

The rest of the features

Infinix XOS 16

Alongside are Dual Speakers, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, GPS, and microSD card expansion.

It runs on XOS 16 based on Android 16. This brings a new Glow Space design language with light, depth, transparency, and glass effects. The notification and quick settings panel have been revamped with rounder toggles, pill-shaped buttons, and improved transparency.

One of our favorite features is the multiwindow support. It lets us split the screen with multiple apps simultaneously.

Infinix AI and Folax Voice assistant

It is loaded with a ton of new AI features made to improve productivity and learning with the Folax Voice assistant.

It supports Recording Summary, where users can upload audio files to the Folax Voice assistant and generate a summary from the transcribed text of the recording. In the same manner, using Translation Assistant, it can translate foreign languages.

You can use Folax to AI-scan documents, process them, and offer users a summary, creative inspiration, and answer their questions regarding the document.

Other learning features include Snap for answers and Circle it, Search it. Users can long-press the screen with two fingers to activate the Infinix AI feature and circle the unknown area or area of concern.

AI caption overlays subtitles on video, which then shows the original language and the translated language side-by-side.

One-Tap Screen Inquiry allows users to long-press the power button for 0.5 seconds, and they can ask the device questions, which it will search for answers to.

AI Art in Folax allows users to describe what they want to draw, and the AI will generate an image based on the description.

AI Writing allows users to proofread and check the grammar of their written text. They can even use it to expand it or polish it in different tones.

In general, the tablet runs smoothly with basic tasks and can run games like MLBB without a hitch.

Verdict

The AI crunch has affected tablets too. We applaud Infinix for offering 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and microSD card expansion, but we hope they offer 256GB/512GB options in the future.

We also love the massive 90Hz 11-inch 2.5K IGZO TFT screen and the massive 8,200mAh battery that work together to give a 2-day-lasting tablet for both productivity and media consumption.

Other incredible features include stereo speakers and the varied new AI features.

Our only concern with the tablet is that the wireless hardware keyboard are sold separately.
