Leak: OnePlus 16 to feature 200MP main camera and 3x optical zoom

Leakers in China revealed what to expect from the upcoming OnePlus 16.

OnePlus next flagship phone?

OnePlus is reportedly set to launch its next flagship device in October, based on recent leaks, though the company has not yet confirmed any official specifications. A new report claims to detail the phone's finalized camera hardware.

Industry leaker Digital Chat Station indicates the device will house a 200-megapixel primary rear sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches—a figure consistent with earlier leaks from the same source.

The setup is also said to include a 50MP periscope telephoto lens using a 1/1.95-inch Sony sensor, supporting 3x optical zoom.

Rounding out the rear array, the phone is expected to feature a new 50MP ultrawide lens. On the front, leaks point to a 50MP autofocus-enabled selfie camera for photos and video calls.

Beyond the camera system, other rumored specifications for the OnePlus 16 include a 185Hz AMOLED display, an unreleased Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor, and a 9,000mAh battery.
