There's also a free Spotify case inside!

To sum it up you'll get a lot of freebies inside this package like the Spotify headphones, earphones, Globe SIM and Spotify case. That's aside from the regular accessories like the USB wall charger and data / charing micro USB cable.

So far, CloudFone managed to "wow" us with what they came up with these freebies. This is actually the first time I experienced getting both a headphone and earphones in a single smartphone package.

Build Quality / Design

Here's the back of Thrill 500x and 500x+

Both the Thrill 500x and 500x+ comes with the identical design and build. Both handsets features a thick tank like looking design with chrome painted sides and rounded edges. It feels comfortable to hold and not slippery at all even with the added weight coming from the huge battery.

Visible here is the thickness of the handset at over 11 mm and the chrome painted volume rocker and power button

When it comes to the design, this type of ID is a little dated yet still effective. It isn't too flashy and looks great overall. I just find it a bit too thick for my liking, but that's one of the few consequences you'll get for having nice long battery life. In that sense, I won't really complain.

While we've seen better at this category, CloudFone made sure here that the level of craftsmanship is on point and will not disappoint for most.

Note: The headphones and earphones comes in plastic build with flat cables for easier cable management. Quite good for a freebie in totality.

Sound Impressions

Speakers - This smartphone comes with a loud and mean speakers. For their respective prices, CloudFone made sure that they're one of the loudest out there. The sound signature I heard is a little bit on the darker side of the spectrum and has some nice clean tunes in it. The speakers also packs some decent bass punch not normally found with smartphones. It doesn't sound too distorted even at max volume that makes the speakers of this handset decent in general.

Headphones - The Free Spotify edition headphones found here that looks razer-ish overall sounds acceptable especially for a freebie. Like the speakers it boast a dark / warm sounding sound sig that makes it sound decent in bassier and pop tunes. However, I find the mids a bit congested / mudded to my liking and I find the soundstage narrower than expected. Fortunately, they made up for it with some nice sub-bass reproduction and clean highs when needed. Still great for something that you don't need to buy anymore.

Earphones - The same goes with the earphones, it sounds close to the headphone which makes it quite nice for something that you get for free. It just sound few notches weaker than the headphone.

Audio out - Of course it's the best if you can plug your proprietary headphones / earphones as this one presents a near to flat sound which is very friendly to the ears. It also has decent loudness that can drive headphones with low power requirement.

Specs and features analysis

CloudFone Thrill 500x And 500x+ Unboxing And Impressions: Your All Day Spotify Buddy!
The Antutu benchmark score of Thrill 500x+

Given the fact that the following handset are using a dated yet still powerful 1.7 GHz MT6592 octa core processor and Mali 450, this handset can definitely perform most of the task you'll throw into them. Except for few games and apps that requires the newer gen GPU and higher RAM.

What we like here is the large battery capacity at 4,000 mAh. That guarantees an all day use even under heavy usage. I have a guesstimate that it can last with you two days in a single charge with light to moderate usage.

The Thrill 500x+ will be the better handset in general if you can add a thousand more to your budget as it boast a bigger RAM at 2 GB and ROM at 16 GB which is better with multitasking and has a larger storage for your files and apps. Although that doesn't mean that the 500x won't perform nicely.

Pro's - Loud speakers, freebies, capable hardware
Con's - No LTE connectivity, quite thick and older design, still on Kitkat

As of the moment

With the aim of connecting music lovers thru Spotify, CloudFone appears to be on point with that attempt. The Thrill 500x and 500x+ gives you almost everything you need to maximize your Spotify experience by providing free headphones, earphones and data. Aside from that CloudFone also managed to incorporate a louder than average speakers, large 4,000 mAh of battery and capable overall hardware to satisfy most users.

In general, even if the Thrill 500x and 500x+ is not most powerful handsets for the price, it's great for those who are looking for an almost complete Spotify experience and a lot of freebies which adds a lot of weight to its overall value.for money.
