Together with the Access and their latest upcoming Flagship phone, CloudFone also teased us with another Marshmallow device that will be introduced soon. Dubbed as the CloudFone Thrill Plus, it is the upgrade of Thrill HD with multimedia prowess on a budget.

Potentially the best multimedia centric phone on a budget?

For starters, the Thrill Plus features the same solid real metal clad build quality and design that we saw from their Thrill Metal series. It's also using the similar and good type 5.5 Inch HD IPS OGS made by Sharp that provides better viewing angles, nice colors and great overall experience.

Under the hood, there's an MT6780 quad core chip by MediaTek clocked at 1.3 GHz paired with Mali 400 GPU that's good enough to run most of the basic and casual task. What we like here is there's ample 2 GB of RAM for your smooth sailing multitasking, 16 GB expandable ROM to store more files and 2,500 mAh of battery capacity.

If you love taking photos, this phone has a decent 8 MP f/2.0 Omnivision sensor at the back w/ AF and LED flash. In front there's a 5 MP Omnivision OV5670 sensor w/ wide angle lens to fit more people in and LED flash that makes you decently visible in the dark. Aside from that, this phone also has a pretty advanced camera software with a lot of features like beautify, pro mode and etc. which is rare for a budget handset.

What's special here is its the first budget phone that we saw that has dual front firing speakers. From what I experienced yesterday, it was a good one considering its assumed low price tag. It has Dolby Audio software that has both 3D and stereo mode options that lets you choose the best way you wanted to enjoy immersive audio goodness. Both speakers can also act as a mic and you can use the phone for calls on either side.

While it may not really be a HiFi phone yet with no dedicated HiFi DAC, the Thrill Plus is probably the most affordable phone I tried that can play 192 KHz / 24 Bit Lossless Flac files with ease that's actually sounds better and more balanced than expected.

It runs on a clean type of Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS that makes the experience better and smoother.
