Huawei Officially Announced Honor 8, Touts Dual 12 MP Main Camera

In China, Huawei's sub brand just unveiled the Honor 8, a new handset that touts several similarities to their P9 series flagship phones.

It features a 5.2 inch FHD 2.5D curved glass screen, runs with 2.3 GHz 64 Bit Kirin 955 octa core chip, Mali T880 GPU, either 3 or 4 GB RAM, 32 or 64 GB expandable ROM, and 3,000 mAh fast charging battery.

The Honor 8 also uses a dual f/2.2 aperture 12 MP main camera at the back and an f/2.4 front facing selfie camera. It still has WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, LTE, USB Type C, and infrared connections.

The Honor 8 loads with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the similar EMUI 4.1 on top ala P9 series.

The 3 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM edition is priced at CNY 1,999 (around 14K Pesos), 4 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM variant for CNY 2,299 (Around 16K Pesos), and 4 GB RAM / 64 GB ROM model at CNY 2,499 (Around 17K Pesos) which are all more affordable than the Leica certified P9 models.

There's still no word though whether it'll hit the international market soon or not.
