MWC 2017: OPPO 5X Dual Camera Tech Has Up To 5X Lossless Zoom!

This MWC 2017, OPPO did not announce a new device yet, instead a new "ground breaking" camera technology was unveiled, the new OPPO 5X Dual Camera Zoom!

5x lossless Zoom on a small dual camera lens setup will be possible soon!

It's a new camera design technique to enable up to 5x zoom even on a thin smartphone. This tech is equipped with a periscope-style lens array that runs horizontally along the top of device which enables near lossless type of zoom w/ OIS!

The Verge explained that, "it’s really a secondary prime lens like you get with the iPhone 7 Plus". What's amazing there is the shrinking the module size while increasing the degree of image magnification.

It's also a smartphone photography technology that gives users the ability to capture highly detailed images.

As a result, it provides an optically stabilized "telephoto lens" offset by 90 degrees. It focuses on light on an image sensor after it travels through a prism. The lens has a focal length 3x longer than the primary wide-angle lens to achieve this proprietary digital zoom.

While there's no actual device yet, this new mobile camera innovation is exciting!
