The handset earned an impressive 173 points for its photo and video performance, surpassing the iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max to become the world's second-best camera phone. It posted strong scores across the board and even led DxOMark's telephoto video, low-light photo, and low-light video categories.

Only the HUAWEI Pura 80 Ultra has the higher score. Other phones in the top 5 include the vivo X300 Pro and OPPO Find X9 Ultra/vivo X300 Ultra (tie).

In summary, DxOMark said that the Motorola Signature 27 earned the impressive imaging score thanks to its well-rounded camera performance, delivering accurate exposure, pleasant colors, reliable autofocus, and strong detail in both photos and videos.

Its standout strengths include portrait photography, medium-range zoom, and stable video recording, while long-range zoom and low-light video quality can still lag behind some rivals in more challenging conditions.

How did Motorola probably achieve this?

The Motorola Signature 27 features a triple-camera setup with a 50MP f/1.6 23mm main camera with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 12mm ultra-wide shooter with a 122-degree field of view, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS.

The Motorola Signature 27 is powered by the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, featuring an advanced 20-bit Spectra ISP and Hexagon NPU for AI-enhanced imaging, paired with a dedicated EVS action sensor that helps virtually eliminate motion blur when capturing fast-moving subjects.
