Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta AI Glasses priced in PH, starts at PHP 34,149

Following the confirmation, Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta AI Glasses are priced in PH and will be available on November 10.

Ray-Ban Meta is finally here in PH

EssilorLuxottica and Meta Platforms announced on Tuesday that Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta smart glasses will be sold in the Philippines starting November 10, the first time the AI glasses category will be available in the country. 

Additionally, AI Meta is also available in Tagalog, meaning you can converse with the AI using traditional Filipino when doing your prompts or commands.

The two companies said the glasses have sold millions of units worldwide, and that the launch is part of their expansion into new international markets.

Ray-Ban Meta lineup

The Ray-Ban Meta range in the Philippines will include the Gen 3 model in Wayfarer, Aviator and Zena styles. Optical-focused models, the Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Scriber Optics (Gen 2), are also included for prescription wearers.

The app and built-in camera

The glasses have a built-in camera and open-ear speakers. According to Meta, users can ask questions about what they see, play music and podcasts, take calls, send messages, translate conversations, and record video from their point of view without using a phone.

The action button and charging case

Lens options include Transitions, polarized and blue-light-filter lenses, as well as prescription lenses.

Oakley Meta lineup

Oakley Meta will be offered in two styles, HSTN and Vanguard, which are aimed at athletes and active users.

The Oakley HSTN and Vanguard

The HSTN has a 3K Ultra HD camera, open-ear speakers, and an IPX4 water-resistance rating. Some versions come with Oakley PRIZM lenses, which are designed to improve contrast in changing light and weather.

The Vanguard has a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 122-degree field of view, wind noise reduction, and open-ear speakers. It is rated IP67 for water and dust resistance and is designed to be compatible with cycling helmets and hats. It integrates with fitness apps such as Strava and Garmin to track performance in real time.

Andrea Didone, EssilorLuxottica’s commercial director for the Philippines, said the launch would offer a range of AI glasses in sun and optical versions "to fit different lifestyles and needs." He encouraged consumers to try a pair.

Jerry Bongco, country director of Meta Philippines, said the company aims to bring its AI glasses, developed with EssilorLuxottica, closer to Filipino consumers.

Ray-Ban Meta will be sold at authorized Ray-Ban dealers starting November 10, including select Vision Express, SM Department Store, Sunglass Gallery, Eye Society, Sunglass Haven, and Ideal Vision Center branches. 

Oakley Meta products will be available at select Oakley stores, G-Force, and Ideal Vision Center branches.
