Ray-Ban Meta coming soon in PH

Both Meta and EssilorLuxottica have confirmed the Philippines as part of their next official market expansion, following this year's Meta Connect event.

The rollout, covering ten countries, will bring the Ray-Ban Meta and Meta Glasses lines to the country through authorized channels for the first time.  As of this writing, no launch date or local pricing has been announced yet.

The expansion also includes Poland, Portugal, Israel, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Malaysia, rolling out over the coming months. No country-specific timeline was given.

Fans of the said product may expect these three items to arrive in the country:

  1. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) - The newest version of the flagship model is thinner than its predecessor and comes in 27 combinations of colours and lenses, spread across the Aviator, Zena, and Wayfarer shapes. Battery life goes up to nine hours, and the glasses use six built-in microphones that the company claims can filter out over 90 percent of ambient noise.
  2. Ray-Ban Meta Audio -  This is the first model in the lineup to skip the camera entirely, tipping the scales at just 43 grams. It's offered in Clubmaster and Burbank frames and can accommodate a variety of prescription lenses.
  3. Meta Glasses - The company's own branded collection is growing with two additional frame designs, Capri and Nova, alongside a new set of styles developed in collaboration with LISA.

Meanwhile, Muse (Meta's AI agent) and Hearing Enhancement, the company's two flagship software products, will remain U.S.-exclusive for now, meaning Philippine units won't launch with the full feature set shown on stage.

By the end of the year, the two companies expect their joint lineup, spanning Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Meta Glasses, to grow past 100 available styles, with each market getting pricing details shortly before its own rollout.

This marks the first time local consumers will be able to purchase the devices through official channels, following the international debut of the Meta-branded collection back in June.

That shift also means Filipino buyers will finally have access to manufacturer warranties and consumer safeguards that were out of reach when the only option was buying through unauthorized sellers.
