HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 5 Max priced in PH: 52dB ANC, 10mm drivers, LDAC, PHP 1,999 promo price

HUAWEI will release the FreeBuds SE 5 MAX wireless earbuds in the Philippines this month, with a promotional price under PHP 2K.

Freebuds SE 5 Max

New affordable earbuds w/ ANC from HUAWEI

The earbuds will first launch exclusively on TikTok on November 8 at 12 AM. They will then be available on Shopee, Lazada, and the HUAWEI Online Store from November 10 at 12 PM.

The design

Each earbud weighs 4.3 grams, which HUAWEI describes as the lightest in its earbud lineup. HUAWEI says the shape is based on research drawing on more than 10 million ear data points and 10,000 physical ear samples.

Meanwhile, silicone ear tips in three sizes (S, M, L) come in the box. The charging case has a semi-transparent top cover and a matte bottom shell. The earbuds come in White, Black, and Blue.

The FreeBuds SE 5 Max use a 10mm dynamic driver and support LDAC for Hi-Res audio, which Huawei says carries about three times more sound detail than standard Bluetooth.

The earbuds support active noise cancellation of up to 52 dB, which HUAWEI says reduces up to 99.9% of surrounding noise. Its Dynamic 3 Multi-Mode AI system adjusts cancellation to the environment, with Ultra, Medium and Cosy modes.

ANC feature

For calls, the earbuds have wind noise resistance and a six-microphone AI system that isolates the speaker’s voice.

HUAWEI app

Users can customize gesture controls, 10-band equalizer settings, and noise cancellation modes through the HUAWEI Audio Connect app on Android and iOS. The earbuds carry an IP55 dust and water resistance rating and, according to Huawei, passed 26 durability tests certified by SGS.

They use Bluetooth 6.0 and can connect to two devices at once. They are compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows devices.

Furthermore, HUAWEI says the earbuds offer up to 80 hours of total battery life when used with the charging case, which the company says equals more than two weeks of use. A 10-minute charge with the case provides about four hours of playback, according to the company.

Loss and damage program

This is another highlight of the product. Each purchase includes HUAWEI Loss Care, valid for one year from the date of purchase. It allows a one-time purchase of a single replacement earbud, left or right, at 50% off the original price if one is lost or damaged. The replacement comes with a 90-day warranty.

Loss and damage program

To claim it, customers must present the remaining earbud, the charging case, and proof of purchase at a HUAWEI Authorized Service Center, or apply through Postal Repair.
