Huawei P10 camera score

The Huawei P10 with 20 MP f/2.2 monochrome sensor + 12 MP f/2.2 RGB sensor w/ 4-in-1 Hybrid AF, OIS, 2x zoom, and dual tone LED flash achieved a flagship grade 87 score.

Here's what the camera experts from DxOMark stated!

With an overall DxOMark Mobile Score of 87 points, the Huawei P10 is up there as one of the best Smartphones we’ve tested for photography enthusiasts. For stills, its Photo sub-score of 88 points is excellent, thanks to generally good exposures in all conditions, including extreme low light, and good color rendering with accurate white balance. Detail and texture preservation is also very good, producing some of the sharpest results we’ve seen, and the P10’s autofocus is fast, accurate, and repeatable in both trigger and auto mode.
For Smartphone video enthusiasts, the Huawei P10 offers 1080p@60fps, as well as higher-resolution 2160p@30fps moving image capture, and achieves a good Video sub-score of 84 points. Videos generally have pleasant exposures with good dynamic range and accurate white balance in all conditions. The excellent detail and texture seen in stills persists in movie files, too, with well-defined edges and plenty of fine detail present. Autofocus performance for video is very good, too, with fast reaction and smooth convergence during scene changes and in panning videos.
If you can recall, the Huawei P9 / P9 Plus (even if it is an outstanding photography smartphone) failed to fully impress the guys at DxOMark last year due to its "just okay" video camera performance with a score of just 80 point.

This year, it appears that Huawei listened and stepped up their camera game into a whole new level. The P10 is right up there with the Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge and Google Pixel / Pixel XL in terms of point and shoot photography. For videos, the improvement is present as well. The overall score of P10 is also higher than Apple iPhone 7 Plus.

We also know that the P10 can do a lot more than just being a point and shoot photography phone. It has a robust manual mode, Leica style portrait mode, and other helpful shooting styles for photos and videos.

Now we are excited to see how the Huawei P10 Plus with better and brighter dual camera lenses will fare at DxOMark.
