Snapdragon 630 And Snapdragon 660 With Quick Charge 4.0 And Bluetooth 5 Announced!

As a way of getting ready for future midrange mobile devices, Qualcomm announced the improved Snapdragon 630 and Snapdragon 660 64 bit octa core processors.

The new Snapdragon 600 series

The Snapdragon 630 will replace the Snapdragon 626 while the Snapdragon 660 will be the future edition of Snapdragon 653. Qualcomm mentioned that the Snapdragon 660 will be 20% faster than the current Snapdragon 653. The Snapdragon 630 will be paired with Adreno 508 graphics while the Snapdraogn 660 will come with Adreno 512 GPU.

Also, Qualcomm's main goal for the new 600 series is to bring high-end features found on its flagship 800 series chipsets to the midrange market. It'll include: machine learning support, Spectra camera ISP with dual camera support, Kryo CPU, and Hexagon Vector eXtensions (HVX) to these new chipsets.

Support for 192 KHz / 24 bit HiFi audio, better display colors, X12 LTE modem, 2x2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac WiFi, Iris scanning, Bluetooth 5.0, and Quick Charge 4.0 are also added.

In particular, we are very excited to see how the Quick Charge 4.0 tech will perform. Qualcomm mentioned that it'll be 20 percent faster and more efficient than its predecessor. 15 mins of charging can bring a phone's battery up to 50 percent.
