Midrange Android One alert! Xiaomi just made the Mi A1 official in India, the Android One version of the popular and highly capable Mi 5X midrange smartphone.

It still has the solid metal unibody construction paired with 5.5 inch FHD screen, Snapdragon 625 chip, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, 3,080mAh battery, and 12MP + 12MP dual camera w/ 2x optical zoom.

The Mi A1 also boasts a dual graphite sheet for lower temperature, 10V smart power amplifier, DHS Audio Calibration Algorithm, and support for high impedance headphones.

Like most Android One devices, it offers Stock Android experience and was optimized by Google for their services. It also has Google Photos with unlimited high quality photo storage.

Moreover, it has the promise of timely Android updates to both Android O and Android P.

Then it retained some of the Xiaomi services like Mi Camera, Mi Remote, Mi Services, nad Mi Store apps.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 is priced at Rs. 14,999 which is around PHP 12K. It will be available in India first this September 12. It will also be available in other parts of the world including some countries in Asia Pacific, Middle East, Europe, Africa, and South America.

Sadly, the Philippines is not included in the initial list.
