LG V20 Now Official, A Rugged Nougat Flagship With Dual Back Cameras And Quad DAC!

LG Electronics has officially unveiled the successor of the great V10, the V20. It's a modern flagship that boast a lot of improvement in looks, hardware, audio, and software.

It sports a slim aircraft grade (AL6013) metal chassis made at the back and silicon polycarbonate on top and button to protect it against drops. Just ike the V10, the LG V20 is equipped with a great type of dual screen technology that consist of a 5.7 inch QHD primary screen and a 2.1 inch secondary display for notifications / shortcuts.

Under the hood, there's a Snapdragon 820 quad core chip powering this machine. It is paired with Adreno 530 GPU for the best graphics experience on a phone, 4 GB RAM LPDDR4 RAM, 64 GB ROM expandable up to 2 TB via micro SD card, and 3,200 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 tech via USB Type C.

For the cameras, the new V20 is packed with a 16 MP f/1.8 w/ Hybrid AF (PDAF, Laser, Contrast AF), OIS and an 8 MP f/2.4 135 degree wide angle lens. Then there's a 5 MP f/1.9 sensor in front with 120 degree wide angle lens that should be great for groufies.

The focus in sound!

Apart from that monstrous configuration, the main highlight of the LG V20 is the audio quality. It is the first phone in the world to boast a quad Sabre ES9218 DAC setup that should compliment even the pickiest audiophiles out there. It comes with very minimal harmonic distortions, little to zero noise. and great tonality.

LG also highlights that the V20 would also be a great sound recorder as the mics the used on the phone can record clear audio even on loud concerts in lossless 24 bit / 48 kHz format.

Lastly, LG partnered with Bang & Olufsen to provide tuning and a set of &O earbuds in the box in select markets.

Coming from the specs of the V10, it seems that the V20 is a worthy successor which can easily gun as the best smartphone for 2016! There's no word about the official price and availability yet though. Stay tuned!
