Upcoming Huawei Mate S2 And Mate 9 Might Have Dual Leica Cameras With OIS

After the successful Huawei x Leica collaboration with the P9 series, rumors suggest the two giants will partner again in curating the upcoming Mate S2 and Mate 9 flagship smartphones.

Dual Leica cameras on Huawei P9 Plus

Based on the report of GizmoChina, Leica will be a tandem once more with Huawei Mate 9. The dual camera that they'll use is rumored to be bundled with laser AF, analog zoom, and OIS (optical image stabilization). The same could also happen with the "Mate S2".

However, take this as a grain of salt as OIS on a dual camera setup is very hard to achieve. Anyway, that analog zoom is cool and shall be useful for long range photography if this report will come into fruition.

Aside from that, the device will also get the Kirin 960 chip, up to 6 GB RAM, and Android 7.0 Nougat on the revamped EMUI 5 skin.
