Gionee M2017 Is A Pricey Flagship Smartphone With HUGE Battery Capacity

In a recent event, Gionee has unveiled the M2017 smartphone with HUGE 7,000 mAh (2x 3,500 mAh) of battery capacity. It comes with a unique design, close to flagship specs, and dual rear camera setup.

The Gionee M2017 sports a 5.7 inch QHD AMOLED panel with 2560 x 1440 resolution with curves. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm's 64 Bit Snapdragon 653 processor, 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB or 256 GB on non-expandable storage.

In terms of camera, the device packs a 12 + 13 MP main camera that can do up to 2x optical zoom and 8x digital zoom. In front, an 8 MP shooter is present to take care of your selfies.

Other notable things with this phone is it goes with a fingerprint sensor in front, LTE connectivity, and dual nano SIM card slots. However, like the iPhone 7 series, this handset has no 3.5 mm headphone jack.

In China, the starting model with 128 GB of RAM is priced at RMB 6,999 (Around PHP 50,300) and 256 GB w/ Italian custom alligator leather back at RMB 16,999 (Around PHP 121,820). That's without taxes and duties yet.

There's no word about its international availability yet though.
