iQOO Neo12 unveiled with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 9,000mAh battery

iQOO has officially launched the new Neo12 in China, a new performance-focused smartphone designed for gamers.

The phone sports a body with an IP69 dust and water resistance rating available Contender, Frost Blade Blue, and Shadow Black colorways.

In front, it uses a 6.83-inch Visionox AMOLED display with p-TSF technology, a sharp 2K resolution, an ultra-smooth 185Hz refresh rate, up to 2,200 nits peak brightness, and an ultrasonic In-Display fingerprint reader.

The display

The device features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which also includes a dedicated display chip and iQOO's in-house Q3 gaming chipset, enabling features such as ray tracing in supported titles, 2K upscaling, and frame interpolation.

Keeping the lights on is a huge 9,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging. 

Moreover, it has a custom 59-blade cooling fan claimed to improve airflow by up to 10 percent, paired with a large 3D Ice Dome vapor chamber for better heat dissipation during intensive workloads.

For photography, the Neo12 is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera with OIS alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Selfies are handled by a 16MP front camera.

Other features include stereo speakers and an IR Blaster remote control.

The iQOO Neo12 is now available in China. There is no word yet on international availability.
