HONOR WIN 2 launched: 2K 185Hz OLED, dual fan design, and 10,100mAh battery

The HONOR WIN 2 is available in Black, White, and another with an embossed blue-and-red colorway.

The phone retains IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance despite its active cooling system, which includes a dual-fan design.

The front of the phone carries a 6.89-inch 2K display with a 185Hz refresh rate and 0.93mm symmetrical bezels. 

The panel peaks at 10,000 nits and can drop as low as 1 nit in dark environments. Honor also cites a 5,000Hz touch sampling rate and 5,920Hz PWM dimming, aimed at responsive gameplay and reduced eye strain.

The features

Power comes from the 5.0GHz 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 octa-core processor with a new Adreno GPU. It is paired with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X Ultra memory and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.1 storage. 

HONOR's official figures include an average of 184.8 FPS in CrossFire at 2K resolution, with the frame rate set to 185 FPS, over five hours of continuous combat gameplay.  Furthermore, the company reports similar results in other popular titles.

At launch, more than 40 games support 185 FPS gameplay, while a few others support native 165 FPS. 

Dual fan design

HONOR attributes the stable frame rates largely to the dual active cooling fan system, which it says lowers temperatures by up to 14.4 degrees and improves heat dissipation by 150% compared with the predecessor.

Another highlight of the device is the 10,100mAh silicon-carbon battery. It also supports 100W USB-C wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 27W reverse charging.

The cameras

On the back, the phone uses a dual-camera setup consisting of a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor + 12MP ultra-wide camera + LED flash. 

At the front, it uses a 50MP camera sits on the front for selfies.

The rest mentioned are stereo speakers for immersive audio, while the device runs on Android 17 with the MagicOS 11 skin on top.
