HONOR WIN Pad launched: 240Hz 2.3K OLED, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and 10,000mAh battery

HONOR has launched its first gaming tablet in the Win series, alongside the Win 2, Win RT 2, and Win Turbo 2 smartphones.

The device, called the HONOR WIN Pad, targets users seeking a dedicated portable gaming machine rather than a conventional tablet.

The tablet features a design reminiscent of its WIN siblings, and you can also spot the turbo cooling fan located at the camera island.

In front, it sports an 8.4-inch OLED display with a 2304 x 1440 resolution and a pixel density of 324 PPI, a 240Hz refresh rate, and 6,000 nits peak brightness

The features

The panel reaches a peak brightness of 6000 nits and runs at a refresh rate of 240Hz. According to the company, 240Hz is supported in more than 40 games, while native 185Hz and 165Hz options are available for a similar number of titles.

Inside, the tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Cooling is handled by a 15,000 rpm turbo fan, which Honor says can lower temperatures by up to 8°C.

Battery capacity stands at 10,000mAh. The device supports 66W fast charging and 27W reverse charging. Furthermore, HONOR added bypass charging support for continuous gameplay.

Among other features, the tablet includes dual X-axis linear motors designed to deliver responsive haptic feedback. 

HONOR has also introduced a "Geek Center" within the software, allowing users to adjust settings such as screen refresh rate, memory scan size, and low-battery protection, and to save them as local profiles. A "Full Throttle" performance mode is available for additional power when needed.

For the OS, it runs on Android 17 with the MagicOS 11 skin on top.

The tablet is currently available only in China. No word yet for other markets as of this writing.
