Great news for Mate 9 users! According to Android Soul's new report, Huawei's Mate 9 phablet has been spotted on Geekbench running on Android 8.0 Oreo OS.

It suggests that Huawei is currently working hard to bring this new OS update to millions of Mate 9 users around the world.

Android 8.0 Oreo will bring new notification features like visual cleanup and notification badges, auto fill for apps, and picture-in-picture (PIP) mode on top of the usual optimization and security updates.

It highlights a sturdy yet sleek metal clad design, 5.9 inch FHD screen, Kirin 960 octa core processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, 4,000 mAh battery, 20 + 12 MP dual Leica cameras, 8 MP selfie camera, fingerprint scanner behind, and LTE connectivity.
Right now, it still runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS w/ EMUI 5.1 skin on top. But, if Huawei is successful w/ the update, we could see the Mate 9 running on Oreo very soon.
