Samsung announces Galaxy Tab Active 2 w/ rugged design and S Pen

Samsung has just made the Galaxy Tab Active 2 official, a rugged tablet w/ durability for industrial environments and improved business functionality.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 highlights biometrics integration, multi-window screens and S Pen capabilities that function in extreme working conditions for better productivity and flexibility.

The body of the Galaxy Tab Active 2 has IP68 water and dust resistance, 1.2m anti-shock w/ inbox protective cover, and MIL-STG-810G grade rating. In addition, its S Pen w/ 4096 pressure level and air command is IP68 wated as well

The tablet boasts an 8-inch WXGA TFT screen w/ 1280 x 800 pixels, 1.6 GHz Exynos 7870 octa core processor, Maili T830 graphics, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB expandable to 256 GB storage, 4,450 mAh battery, 8 MP main camera w/ AF and LED flash, 5 MP selfie camera, LTE Cat 6, NFC, GPS A-GPS, fingerprint sensor, and Android 7.1 Nougat OS w/ TouchWiz skin.

It measures at 127.6 x 214.7 x 9.8 mm and weighs at 416g (WiFi only) or 418g (LTE).

There's no price yet, but it will hit select markets later this month.
