It is packaged in a glossy carton made black box. Inside is the phone, documentation, 1A power plug, USB to micro USB cable and screen protector.

The phone is held together by a sturdy metal frame that is covered mostly with glass on the front and mostly with thick faux metal coated plastic at the back. It is pretty. You wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen with this phone.

The metal frame is the most premium looking part of this device. It is solid with a heft to it. The subtle shine makes it stand out. The plastic back plate is lightweight but sturdy plastic that you find in most devices in this price range. It is textured that adds grip that reduces the chances of slipping.

On top is the headphone jack while at the bottom is the micro-USB port with one microphone. At the right side are the power button and the volume rocker while the left side is bare.

The backplate and the 3000mAh battery is removable. Beside the camera are the two sim slots. One is micro and the other is nano sim compatible. Below the second sim tray is a microSD card slot. Below the battery is the single firing speaker.

The rear camera is a 8 MP w/ AF and LED flash while the selfie camera is 5 MP w/ LED without AF. So far, the images have decent detail and color.

Acceptable specs for the price!

It carries a 5.5 Inch HD IPS 1280 x 720 resolution w/ 2.5D curved glass at 267 ppi coupled with the 1.3GHz 64-bit SC9832A quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM with a 3000mAh battery.

The rest of the features

The EGO Note 4G does not offer OTG support but It has an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, orientation sensor, light sensor and a sound sensor. It does not have a gyroscope.

In our initial experience we were clocking in at an average of 8 to 9 hours of use. With LTE, the phone's battery life would fall back to 6 to 7 hours. That is above most phones in its category.

It boots w/ a near stock version of Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. However, the 1GB of RAM limits Nougat's multitasking capability.

Torque has released a decent phone for PHP 4,599. If you are happy with the build quality, the 1GB RAM, the 1280 x 720 resolution, and the 8GB internal memory this is a good way to go if you are looking for an LTE capable phone with good battery life.

However, we would have liked it better if the RAM and storage was a bit bigger. Maybe at least 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM.
