Meizu will launch a new phone with 18:9 ratio on January 4

Meizu is set to launch a new phone that will join the 18:9 screen party. The company has announced that January 4 is the official launch date of their new handset. The device could be dubbed as the Meizu Blue Charm S, Meizu M6S, and Meilan S.

The phone is said to be the first device of the company without any physical home button in front. Instead, the fingerprint scanner will most likely come on the right side below the power button.

According to TENAA, Meizu's upcoming smartphone will have a 5.7-inch screen and 2,930mAh battery. It is also expected to feature a Samsung Exynos 7872 hexa-core processor. It could come in either 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM or 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.

It will likely be the first of the 6 phone that Meizu is planning to introduce for  the first half of 2018.
