Samsung unveiled their newest pair of flagship smartphones with the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. With it comes a few new features that we need to check out.

1. Super Slow-Mo - The Galaxy S9 and S9+ will now have super slow-mo video capture that can take footage of up to 960 frames per second at 720p. In addition to that, they will also offer smart automatic Motion Detection that detects movement in the frame that automatically begins to record in slow motion. 

Users can also edit the slow motion video by adding background music from 35 different options or add a song from their favorite playlist. Users can also create, edit and share GIF Files with a simple and intuitive feature included.

2. Low Light Camera - All photography enthusiasts know that good lighting is key to a great photo. In reality, however, we are almost always submerged in a less-than-ideal lighting condition. Most cameras have a fixed aperture that can't adjust to different lighting situation. Samsung's answer to this is a camera with Dual Aperture that ranges from f/1.5 to f/2.4. This will let your camera adjust to any lighting condition or scenario.

3. AR Emoji - Samsung is going to utilize A.I. for something they call the AR Emoji. It will use date-based machine learning algorithm, which analyzes a 2D image of the user and will map out more than 100 facial points. Using that data, it will form a 3D model that will imitate expressions and emotion. You can send AR Emoji videos as well as stickers in AGIF format. In addition to this, there also is a new "art bokeh" function included in the Live Focus feature of the Galaxy S9+.

4. Bixby 2.0 - Samsung's very own intelligent assistant Bimby, I mean Bixby, is now integrated into the camera, AR features and now has deep learning technology that uses accumulated information about the user and his surroundings. It now has real time object detection and recognition that will can produce more information about what the camera is pointing at. Users can also use it for foreign language translation and currency conversion.

5. Faster Processor - The Galaxy S9 series will be the first two Samsung smartphone to have up to 2.9GHz clock speeds using their 64-Bit  Exynos 9810 octa-core processor. It will be paired up with the Mali-G72 MP18 GPU which is higher than the MP12 GPU of the Mate 10 series.

6. Intelligent Scan - The Galaxy S9 series will now have Intelligent Scan which is the Iris Scanner and Facial Recognition combined. It uses infrared and RGB sensors with anti-spoofing which will make it more accurate and secured according to Samsung.

7. Samsung DeX Pad - The DeX Pad improved upon the first iteration of DeX by including up to WQHD resolution. the option to use your phone as a touchpad, HDMI connectivity and 2 USB 2.0 ports.

These new features may seem few but these are all impacting none the less. The improvement of aperture technology alone is a great improvement.
