The LG G7 ThinQ will be the first G-series smartphone of the company under the ThinQ name. The ThinQ is the company's AI platform which is used on all of LG's consumer electronics, home appliances, and services with artificial intelligence.

On the LG V30S ThinQ, the AI has object recognition using the cameras. It can detect if the subject is a person, animals, city or buildings, flower, sunrise, sunset, food, and landscape. They also have the "Bright Mode" camera feature to improve the lowlight performance of the phone.

LG also introduced the QLens which can attempt to recognize specific objects for the purposes of shopping, price and image searching online and read QR codes.

The ThinQ is also designed to communicate with all your existing and future IoT, smart appliances, like washing machines and dryers.

Now is the time when manufacturers have to pay close attention to what customers actually need and want for their smartphones, says Hwang Jeong-hwan, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “With the LG G7 ThinQ, LG is con-tinuing to deliver on its promise to enhance core technologies to meet customers' real life needs by incorporating AI technologies that are more than features, they are part of the user experience.

Now, let's expect the LG G7 ThinQ to be much better than the impressive LG G6 last year.

According to rumors, it'll have a new type of FullView screen with notch, speedier Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor, at least 6GB RAM, advanced type of cameras, HiFi DAC, and the new Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
