The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is the company's most capable affordable "camera phone" at least on paper. It boasts some of the very best camera specs that you won't find with other affordable smartphones.

So far, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is truly their most promsing affordable camera phone yet.
Its dual camera setup can really shoot great looking photos with plenty of details and good contrast. Dyanmic range is mostly on point too. It can even take photos with deep background blur. Lowlight performance is also respectable.
There are just times where the exposure is isn't that bright and the colors could be a bit dull. But, what's important is it has good amount details overall.
For selfies, it is better than what we saw with the older Redmi phones. It now has sharper details and better color reproduction. The bokeh effect on the portrait mode is also very nice.
However, the face beauty mode is still inconsistent. Lowlight performance is still far from great even if you turn the selfie softlight flash on.
