Xiaomi also revealed that the Mi 8 SE won't be available in the Philippines as it is only exclusive for the Chinese market. Instead, Xiaomi stated that we will get a "similar" device instead. They did not confirm if it'll be just a rebranded Mi 8 SE or a totally different device.

In case you missed it, the Mi 8 SE is an interesting mid-ranger on paper. It goes with 5.88-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with an 18:9 screen aspect ratio, the new Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor with AI capabilities, Adreno 616 GPU for better gaming experience, 4GB or 6GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, and 3,120mAh battery with USB Type-C port and wireless charging.

It also has a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup with 4-axis OIS, Dual Pixel PDAF, 2x optical zoom, and portrait mode and 20MP AI front camera.

You will also find the face unlock tech, fingerprint scanner, WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, and Android Oreo OS with MIUI 10 skin on the Mi 8SE.

On the other hand, the Mi 8 Explorer Edition has identical Mi 8 specs. But, it goes with a sleek clear back cover design and a Vivo-like In-Display fingerprint scanner.

That's all we know for now. We will update you guys once the official SRP is out.

Stay tuned for more info!
