On paper, it is the company's most value-packed smartphone in the country yet. It has one of the best design, specs, and features for its PHP 6,990 price tag.

Now, let's check its five (5) best features and see if it is the right budget phone for you.

5. You care about the design of the phone - The A3s is one of one of the few budget phones with a glossy back cover design. It is elegant and catchy looking. Normally, phones with this type of design are found on pricier phones. It'll come in either red or dark purple color options. It is quite comfortable to hold as well.

4. Massive display for your entertainment - This phone also has a BIG 6.2-inch screen! It even has a 19:9 screen aspect ratio which is much wider and taller than the usual 18:9 or 16:9 screens. OPPO dubbed it as the "Super Full Screen" with HD+ resolution.

To nitpick, it only has an HD+ 1440 x 720 resolution with 260 ppi. It isn't the sharpest around. But, that's fine.

It will be very hard for anyone to find a screen this big and immersive at this price point for now.

3. Decent speed based on its specs - The OPPO A3s is equipped with the Snapdragon 450 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU. That CPU and GPU combo is one of the fastest and most efficient at this price point. It is capable of running casual and some heavy games.

It is only paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM though. But, that RAM and ROM size is understandable for the price.

At least the CPU and GPU is faster than most similarly priced smartphones.

It also has 4G LTE connectivity, GPS, and dual SIM slots.

2. Dual cameras for portrait photography - At the back, this device loads with a 13MP f/2.2 + 2MP f/2.4 dual camera setup. It is one of the few with real dual cameras for the price. The secondary sensor is the depth camera. It is designed to capture portraits with deep background blur or bokeh effect.

For selfies, it has an 8MP f/2.2 camera with face beauty and face unlock mode.

1. Massive battery capacity for all day use - The OPPO A3s has one of the biggest battery size under PHP 7K. It has a MASSIVE 4,230mAh battery. In comparison, most phones at this price only has 3,000mAh of juice. Most likely, this can last for a day or two even under heavy usage.
