At the Manila Bulletin's office, both Smart and Globe telecoms announced that Apple's new iPhone XS and XS Max will be available in the Philippines via postpaid soon.

The iPhone XS is the model with smaller 5.8-inch Super Retina OLED TrueTone display with 2436 x 1125 resolution at 463 ppi.

On the other hand, the iPhone XS Max is the phablet-sized handset with massive 6.5-inch Super Retina OLED TrueTone display. It has 2688 x 1242 resolution at 456 ppi with wide color support. Apple claimed that both has the "most durable" glass on a smartphone.

Apple did not mentioned the number of RAM, but they announced three internal storage available for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max: 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB.

The new devices also has the same 12MP wide + 12MP telephoto camera with improved quad-LED flash.

Apple also added a Smart HDR feature that automatically adjusts the exposure and contrast while taking the photo
They also boasts that it now has an after-shot bokeh adjustment feature ala Huawei phones. The first phone that we tested with the said feature was the Honor 6 Plus last 2014/2015.
For selfies, both has a 7MP IR camera with screen flash.
For the first time, the latest iPhones features dual SIMs (physical + eSIM)! The said technology is now supported by telcos in the other parts of the world. It is not yet available in the Philippines though.
The new iPhones also has stereo audio for louder tunes and wider soundstage.
Apple also claimed that these devices also has faster algorithms for the Face ID unlocking system.
The new iPhones runs with iOS 12 out of the box that has new features such as Human Emoji, Siri Shortcuts, AR Quick Look, and more.
For now, we do not know the exact date of availability and the postpaid plan details for both devices yet.
The "budget" iPhone XR will be available in the Philippines as well.
