Huawei Nova 3 vs POCOPHONE F1 AI Camera Comparison
The Huawei Nova 3 and POCOPHONE F1 are two very impressive bang for the buck smartphones. Both has pretty good AI-assisted back and front.

On paper, the camera resolution of the Nova 3 is larger and brighter. It has the 16MP (RGB) + 24MP (monochrome) dual cameras with f/1.8 aperture size for lowlight shots. It also has PDAF, contrast focus, and Master AI to help you take better photos with good speed and accuracy.
For selfies, it has a 24MP f/2.0+ 2MP dual cameras with Master AI and HDR Pro for against the light shots. Both the back and front cameras has the bokeh mode.
On the other hand, the POCOPHONE F1 has 12MP f/1.9 Sony IMX363 sensor + 5MP f/2.0 Samsung sensor w/ Dual Pixel AF, EIS, AI, and dual-tone LED flash. We also noticed that the shot taken by the POCO is a bit wider.
For selfies, it has a large 20MP f/2.0 with AI. For us, it is the best selfie cam found on any Xiaomi smartphone yet.

Scene 1 - Daylight 1
The shot taken by the Nova 3 has better dynamic range. However, it is overly sharp and unnatural looking compared with the POCO F1 shot. It is a bit too saturated to my eyes as well. POCO handled the situation better in this scene. POCO F1 - 1 point
Scene 2 - Daylight 2
This time, it is the other way around. The shot got by the POCO F1 is too HDR and a bit overexposed. Remember, brighter isn't always better. The exposure, colors, and contrast on the Nova 3 is better here. Nova 3 - 1 point
Scene 3 - Daylight close-up
Close fight! The level of detail is about the same. The shot on the POCO is just a bit too brown to my eyes. Nova 3's color accuracy is better here. The color of my pants and shoes are really like that. Nova 3 - 2 points
Scene 4 - Indoor lowlight
The exposure on the POCO F1 is more accurate. Its colors are more natural looking too. Huawei's lowlight shot is a bit more exposed and the color is a bit pinkish. But, it has better dynamic range and slightly sharper details on the subject.
It is a tie to my eyes. POCO F1 - 2 points, Nova 3 - 3 points
Scene 5 - Indoor lowlight 2x zoom
Incredible! Both performed really well here. It could go either way. Its another tie for me. I won't blame you if you will pick the better colors on the POCO shot or the nicer exposure on the Nova shot. POCO F1 - 3 points, Nova 3 - 4 points
Scene 6 - Indoor lowlight portrait mode
The clear winner here is the shot capture by the POCO F1. Details are about the same, but color accuracy and contrast on the POCO is better. The shot captured by the Nova 3 has pinkish hue again. POCO F1 - 4 points
Scene 7 - Rainy night shot
Both phones did well. But, It is clear that the exposure and colors on the Nova 3 is better. It has the wider dynamic range and better details overall too. My only nitpick is its AI processed this scene a bit too much.
It will be easier to correct versus the shot capture by the POCO on Snapseed though. Nova 3 - 5 points
Scene 8 - Selfie daylight
To my eyes, the selfie cam of the POCOPHONE F1 is the BEST of Xiaomi yet. I was surprised that it was able to keep up with the Nova 3 daylight selfie in this scene. It could go either way again. POCO F1 - 5 points, Nova 3 - 6 points
Scene 9 - Selfie with bokeh
The detail on my glasses is sharper on the POCO, but the detail of my eye is shaper on the Nova 3. My POCO selfie is a bit hazy here though. On the Nova 3, it is a bit too saturated. The edge detection on the POCO is a bit better, but the bokeh on the Nova is deeper.

Scene 10 - Lowlight selfie with face beauty
Both did well here, but it is clear that the colors are better and details are sharper on the Nova 3. POCO F1 - 5 points, Nova 3 - 8 points

Verdict
Both did well! The Nova 3 got a total score of 8 points to beat the POCOPHONE F1 with 6 points in a very close match. The Nova 3 is still the slightly better AI photography phone, but kudos to POCOPHONE F1 for putting up the great fight despite its much lower price tag.What do you think guys?
