Black Shark Helo gaming smartphone with up to 10GB RAM is official

Right on schedule, Xiaomi launched the Black Shark Helo gaming smartphone. It's the follow-up to the Black Shark earlier this year.

Meet Black Shark Helo gaming smartphone

The Black Shark Helo features a new 6.01-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that has HDR support. It even has an independent image processing chip.

RGB logo!

It now has a metal back shell with 3D glass to make the phone look 3D. You will also find an RGB logo on the back with AI game lighting which automatically changes depending on the game you are playing. The fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back too.

External cooling fan

There's two liquid cooling pipes to reduce CPU core temperature by up to 12-degree. It's an upgrade over the 8-degree cooling found on its predecessor.

3D protective case

It also has an X-Style antenna design with WiFi antenna found on the side and a dedicated two-stage SHARK key for a more immersive gaming experience.

Black Shark also added a dedicated gamepad with touchpad at the right side of the phone aside from the left gamepad.

It will also have a dual hand joystic case with dual fans for additional cooling and naked-eye 3D protective case soon.

Inside, it still runs with the trusty Snapdragon 845 AIE SoC. But, it now has a variant with MASSIVE 10GB RAM for extra smooth gaming.

The Black Shark Helo has a starting price of CNY 3,199 (PHP 24.8K) for the 6GB RAM/128GB ROM variant, CNY 3,499 (PHP 27.1K) for the 8GB RAM/128GB ROM model, and CNY 4,199 (PHP 31.5K) for the 10GB RAM/256GB edition with both right and left gamepads.

The phones is now available for pre-order in China. It will go on sale starting October 30.
