Meet the ROG phone

The ROG Phone is a monster device with over 300K result in AnTuTu benchmark. That was achieved because of its superior cooling system and the 2.96GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with A.I. and heavy gaming capable Adreno 630 GPU.

Let's dive right in and see what has ASUS have for us.

The outer shell is made of both glass and metal with aggressive ROG design language that we know and love. It feels hefty and premium in the hand. There are also pretty accents all over the phone that will blend well with other recent designed ROG products.

The display is a 6-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 90Hz and 1ms response time. It isn't 120Hz because ROG argues that it is to keep the end user experience balanced with design, performance and cooling.

It is not IP rated because water sealing the phone will interfere with the cooling performance. They prioritized better sustained performance that is gained through better cooling.

For multitasking and storage, it has extra large 8GB RAM and 512GB ROM which is expandable via microSD card.

It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that can be charged the usual way from the bottom charging port or a secondary charging port at the left side. It features the Hypercharging that promises 0 to 60 percent charge in 33 minutes when using the included fast charging brick and cable.

It has dual stereo speakers that both feature smart amp. For those who have headphones, it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for the best possible audio experience.

On the camera part, it goes with a 12MP f/1.8 Sony IMX363 + 8MP f/2.0 OV8856 w/ Tri-tech AF, Dual Pixel, 120-degree wide-angle, OIS, EIS, and dual tone LED flash like the ZenFone 5Z.

For selfies, it has an 8MP f/2.0 sensor.

The rest of the features

The ROG Phone also has WiFi, 4G LTE, GPS, A-GPS, fingerprint sensor, and gyroscope sensor.

The ROG phone is also equipped with an "X" mode which frees RAM, prevents apps from eating apps, avoid interruptions, and boots processes.

It also has an Ultrasonic sensor for AirTriggers as shoulder keys that can be mapped with on screen buttons from games.

The ROG phone also comes with Aeroactive Cooler that clips on the side charging port that provides external cooling to the phone out of the box.

Other accessories that are sold separately include: Desktop Dock that allows you to game like you would on a desktop by connecting to a monitor, keyboard and mouse and TwinView Dock where it adds a second screen to expand gameplay with unlimited possibilities when supported by game developers.

The ROG phone can also be docked GameVice Controller and stream to a larger display.

The ROG phone is coming to the Philippines by Q3 2018 but there is no information on pricing, availability and whether or not the accessories will arrive.

Watch out for the rest of the missing details.
