For multitasking and storage, it has extra large 8GB RAM and 512GB ROM which is expandable via microSD card.
It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that can be charged the usual way from the bottom charging port or a secondary charging port at the left side. It features the Hypercharging that promises 0 to 60 percent charge in 33 minutes when using the included fast charging brick and cable.
On the camera part, it goes with a 12MP f/1.8 Sony IMX363 + 8MP f/2.0 OV8856 w/ Tri-tech AF, Dual Pixel, 120-degree wide-angle, OIS, EIS, and dual tone LED flash like the ZenFone 5Z.
For selfies, it has an 8MP f/2.0 sensor.

The ROG Phone also has WiFi, 4G LTE, GPS, A-GPS, fingerprint sensor, and gyroscope sensor.
The ROG phone is also equipped with an "X" mode which frees RAM, prevents apps from eating apps, avoid interruptions, and boots processes.
It also has an Ultrasonic sensor for AirTriggers as shoulder keys that can be mapped with on screen buttons from games.
The ROG phone also comes with Aeroactive Cooler that clips on the side charging port that provides external cooling to the phone out of the box.
Other accessories that are sold separately include: Desktop Dock that allows you to game like you would on a desktop by connecting to a monitor, keyboard and mouse and TwinView Dock where it adds a second screen to expand gameplay with unlimited possibilities when supported by game developers.
The ROG phone can also be docked GameVice Controller and stream to a larger display.
