Google will open their first operations center in the Philippines in 2019!

BusinessWorld reported that Google is opening its first operations center in the Philippines that will serve local and international customers.

A Google spokesperson told BusinessWorld that Google traditionally relied on operations teams to provide customer support via third party suppliers which worked well when the company was smaller but because the company has grown there is a need to build out their customer support center.

The spokesperson continued and mentioned that the company had chosen the Philippines because they believe they can find the best talent for the work that needs to be done in the country.

The first operations center is scheduled to open on the first half of 2019 and will seek to employ a core team consisting of 40 people then hire increasingly as they build the operations center out.

This operations team of specialists will provide support that ranges from troubleshooting issues to advertiser assistance for the tech giants products that includes Google Pay, Google Wallet, Google Hardware, Google Maps, YouTube among others.
