A year after the introduction of their first water-resistant tablet with IP67 ratings, Honor has launched an 8-inch version of the tablet.

Honor WaterPlay highlights

The latest Honor Waterplay has an 8-inch WUXGA screen powered by Kirin 659 SoC and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0. This tablet also has stereo speakers with Huawei Histen 5.0 3D audio technology and a fingerprint sensor lying on the home button. 

It has a 13MP rear camera along with a 2MP secondary camera for portrait shots. It has an 8MP front camera with face unlock, unibody metal design. It packs a 5,100mAh battery with support for 9V/2A fast charging. It also comes in 4G version with support for voice calling.

Honor has also unveiled their answer to Huawei's Watch GT, the Watch Magic. This is a smartwatch based on the Light OS platform. It is smaller, less fancy, and more affordable than the Huawei Watch GT.

Honor Watch Magic highlights

It sports a 1.2-inch AMOLED display at 326 ppi. It packs a 178mAh of battery which Honor claims that it can last up to a week. It is rated to 5ATM making it a swim-proof, it has a heart rate monitor, advanced positioning (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo) and Huawei Pay.

It is also 9.8 mm thin, thinner than the Huawei Watch GT. The body of the watch is built out of 316L stainless steel and plastic (no ceramic this time around). It supports a variety of QuickFit straps.

Price and availability

Honor Waterplay is available for order in China and goes on sale from November 6. Honor Philippines has no word yet regarding its price and local availability. 

While the Honor Watch Magic is already available in China and comes in colors of Lava Black and Moonlight Silver. We will keep you updated here once we have news about local availability and pricing.
