Xiaomi Mi A1 gets Android 9.0 Pie update!

Xiaomi has fulfilled its promise to update to give the Mi A1 with 2 major Android updates. The Android One device previously received Android Oreo and now Android Pie.

The new Mi A1 major firmware update will come with an update size of 1,074.9MB. Aside from the Android Pie, its optimizations, and new features, the update will include support for FM Radio.

It will also have the adaptive battery and brightness, simpler ways to navigate your phone, and recommended apps and actions based on your context.

The update was first reported in Bagladesh, but we can expect Xiaomi to gradually roll it out to all their markets soon.

As a quick recap, the Mi A1 features a metal clad design with a 5.5-inch FHD 16:9 screen. It runs with the Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 3,080mAh battery with USB-C charging, 12MP f/2.2 Sony IMX386 + 12MP f/2.6 dual-camera setup behind, 5MP selfie camera, fingerprint scanner, and 4G LTE.

The Mi A1 is available at the ongoing 12.12 campaign of Shopee and Lazada.
