P20 Pro x Mate 20!

The Huawei P30 probably the successor of the P20 last year. It could also be the more affordable sibling of its pro version.

The design of the handset reminds of the the P20 Pro and Mate 20 combined. The renders showed that the P30 might come with a 3D glass-like back designed with texturized finish and gradient emerald green to midnight blue color.

As expected, it has a triple-camera hump at the back with the LED flash. Last year, the P20 only has a dual-camera system while the P20 Pro is the triple-cam phone.

On the front, it features a screen with around 6-inch of size with a waterdrop-like notch for the selfie camera like the regular Mate 20. The slim bezels on the sides and top are around the same size while the chin bezel is a bit slimmer.

At right, you will find the usual colored/textured power button and the volume rocker. It will also have a USB-C port below in between the speaker grill and the 3.5mm headphone jack. YES, there's a headphone jack!

Rumored specs

As per rumors, the handset will likely come with the Kirin 980 SoC based on 7nm fabrication. It will be paired with either 6GB/8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB storage. There's no info regarding its battery yet.

The alleged upcoming 38MP sensor from Sony could also debut with this phone. It's the camera sensor with Quad Bayer tech, Quad Pixel PDAF, and 5x optical zoom. There's a 24MP snapper for selfies as well.

Most likely, will be assisted by AI as well. Huawei could also collaborate with Leica to make the Sony sensors better again.

The handset is also expected to boot with EMUI 9.0 skin based on Android Pie out of the box.

There's no info yet regarding its date of availability and price. Huawei announced the P20/P20 late March last year.
