Just like other Huawei phones, it has an eye comfort mode to lessen the blue light when you are using the screen in the dark.
As expected, it has 10 points of multitouch.
Audio Quality
The Y7 Pro 2019 is equipped with one grill speaker at the bottom. At first look you'll mistaken it has two, but there's only one.
It can go loud to fill up a whole medium to large-sized room. Of course there is a sound distortion on max loudness. But it can still deliver great, clean mids and vocals.
Loud enough to fill a medium to large-sized room!
It also has the Party Mode which now becoming a common feature across Huawei smartphones. This feature allows you to sync music playback across phones on the same WiFi network. It is designed to provide surround sound effect.
For the headphones, Huawei Y7 Pro 2019's output is above average. It delivers clean sound that'll make you listen to more songs as you wish.
This smartphone is equipped with two mics, one on top and one at the bottom. Voice call quality is decent and voice recordings quality are above average.

Stellar battery life! |
Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 is equipped with 4,000mAh of battery. We are totally surprised that it recorded a long 17 hours and 30 minutes in our PC Mark Battery Test! It way longer than Samsung Note 9's 11 hours and 21 minutes record which has the same battery capacity.
Stellar battery life!
For real life usage, Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 can last up to almost 2 days under moderate to heavy usage. It includes WiFi and data surfing, texting, calling, playing music, and games.

Charging time using its provided 5V/2A wall charger can last at up to almost 4 hours long.
Camera

Dual rear AI cameras |
Unlike the Y6 Pro 2019, the Y7 Pro 2019 sports a dual rear camera design. It has 13MP f/1.8 + 2MP f/2.4 with Master AI and LED flash. It has the usual Beauty Mode, Panorama, HDR, and this time a Pro Mode.
The Pro Mode lets you adjust the ISO (100 to 3200), S (1/4000 to 8s), EV (-12 to +12), AF (AF-S, AFC, MF), and AWB (presets and 2000K to 8000K).
The dual rear cameras can shoot nice, detailed photos under daylight setting. The photos taken have punchy colors and are not oversaturated. The HDR feature bring more details to the photos most especially those that are against the light.
Indoor shots are great just make sure you have a nice lighting. Low light shots are decent but do not expect that much since it will have less colors and will be grainy.
The LED flash or using the Pro Mode can help in taking better low light shots.

The daylight selfie photos look great with sharp details and natural-looking colors. The Beauty Mode makes selfies over-beautified though.
Low light selfies don't look that pretty nice though, but make sure to use the cleverly hidden LED softlight flash to make the quality better.

For videos, the Y7 Pro 2019 can shoot videos of up to 1080p for both rear and front cameras. The 13MP AI back camera can shoot videos with nice colors and details. But expect the videos to be a bit shaky when shooting while walking. Videos taken on place are decent and has better stabilization.
The selfie camera's videos are way better than the main camera. We liked its stabilization performance better.
Performance
|
AnTuTu and Geekbench benchmarks |
Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 runs on the 1.8GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable memory via dedicated microSD card slot up to 512GB.
Pretty good performance!
Browsing with this smartphone is a breeze. Multitasking is great as well, there are occasional hiccups but the overall speed is great, thanks to its 3GB RAM.
For gaming, we have played various 3D Games like: PUBG Mobile, Rules of Survival, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Thermal management is great. You can feel it heating when playing heavy 3D Games and when using LTE Data but does not get to the point of an alarming hot.
Sadly the Y7 Pro 2019 still runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo along with the EMUI 8.2 skin. It could have been a lot better if Huawei ran it with the latest Android 9.0 Pie and EMUI 9.0 just like the more affordable Huawei Y6 Pro 2019.

The UI |
There are a few bloats but those can be uninstalled to free up space.
It has a Phone Manager to help the user manually optimize the phone's performance.
We also love the "Hi Care" app that has various tips for the user to have a full grasp of the Y7 Pro 2019's capacity. It has also the customizable Huawei designed themes.
It has a a FM Radio but you need to plug in your headset to be able to use it.
Other features
The Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 has solid connectivity options. The GSM signal is stable, WiFi signal is strong, GPS just works, and it has 700MHz 4G LTE connectivity.
It has no fingerprint scanner but the face unlock is fast. It can unlock your phone even under low light settings.
It has gyroscope for your AR and VR apps.
Pros - Dewdrop notch design, big display, big RAM and internal storage, stellar battery performance, loud audio, AI cameras and portrait mode, sub-PHP 10K price
